A. A parent can be given a laminated VIS copy to look at, but has to be offered a hard copy to take home

B. A parent can be sent a copy of the VIS electronically days before the visit

C. A parent/guardian may view the VIS on a computer monitor or other video display prior to vaccine administration

D. The physician can send a physical letter to the parent/guardian that provides a link (URL) to an online VIS 

, all are acceptable ways to provide the VIS. Providers are still required to offer a copy (an electronic copy is permissible) of each appropriate VIS to take away following the vaccination. However, the recipient may decline.
