Changes to the 2024 ACIP Adult Immunization Schedule: At-a-Glance

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) has released an updated version of the adult immunization schedule for ages 19 years and older in the US.

In this short slide show you will find highlights of revisions and additions to the Notes section of the 2024 schedule for vaccination against specific diseases including COVID-19, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), influenza, poliovirus, Mpox, and meningococcal serogroups ABCW&Y.

Significant changes have also been made to the schedule's format and graphics including to the Cover page, Table 1. Recommended Adult Immunization Schedule by Age Group, and Table 2. This adult immunization schedule is recommended by ACIP and approved by CDC, the American College of Physicians, the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American College of Nurse-Midwives, the American Academy of Physician Associates, the American Pharmacists Association, and the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America.
